Easy to make Lavender Hand Scrub Recipe

How to make Lavender Hand Scrub

Lavender hand scrub is great for those hard working garden hands. You may use these salt and sugar scrubs to soften your feet, elbows, and knees. Your skin will feel silky soft and any roughness and dead skin will be polished away.

Easy Lavender Hand Scrub, Homemade Sugar Scrub

I call this Lavender aromatherapy recipe easy to make because you use what you have on hand to make it. The best thing is you made this Lavender homemade hand scrub yourself!

Combine the following ingredients in a wide mouth lidded container. When multiple ingredients are listed simply choose one to use. Store in a cool dark place like a closet or under the bathroom sink. You may need to mix or stir before use to redistribute the ingredients.

1 1/2 cups of Epsom Salt, Coarse Kosher Salt, Sea Salt, or Sugar
1 cup Jojoba Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, or Coconut oil
25-30 drops of Lavender Essential Oil

Optional Ingredients:

2-3 teaspoons Vitamin E Oil (very nourishing)
1-2 tablespoons dried Lavender flower (pretty)
Honey is another optional ingredient which is beneficial for the skin and makes for a nice consistency.

You may also add Rosemary, Rose, Orange or other pure essential oils to make the fragrance you desire. Try adding a tablespoon of pure vanilla extract to make a Lavender Vanilla Hand Scrub!

Mix the chosen ingredients together in a bowl. You want a thick consistency so add more coarse ingredients if the mix is too runny. Add more of the oil or honey if the mix is too dry. Do not add any water. Place in a container with a tight fitting lid such as a large jelly jar or hinged lidded preserve jar. This makes a easy homemade Lavender gift too!

Use about a tablespoon and massage into hands paying attention to any rough areas. Rinse lightly to remove the residue then pat dry leaving softened moisturized hands or feet. I use this easy Lavender hand scrub after working in my flower garden to make my hands feel soft and smooth again followed by a little of my Lavender lotion bar.
