Lavender Simple Syrup

Lavender Syrup Recipe


    Lavender simple syrup can be made using sugar and Lavender flowers from your garden. It is a simple Lavender infusion that may be added to almost any drink.

    Fresh or dried Lavender flowers may be used to make this Lavender syrup recipe. Fresh flowers may naturally tint the syrup from golden to a pale Lavender color. Choose fresh flowers from your garden carefully selecting those with bright color or if not in season use dried culinary Lavender for this easy Lavender simple syrup recipe.


How to Make Lavender Syrup:


Lavender Simple Syrup

    Put the water in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to boil. Add the sugar to the boiling water and stir together until the sugar in completely dissolved. Turn off the heat and add the Lavender flowers. Allow the syrup to steep infusing all the luscious Lavender scent and flavor. Strain off the Lavender flowers when cool then pour into a glass container or bottle that has a lid.

    The Lavender syrup will last 3-4 weeks when stored in the refrigerator. Tie a pretty ribbon around the bottle and add a note and you have a Lavender gift from the kitchen.

    Lavender syrup may be used on Lavender pancakes, over fresh fruit such as sliced strawberries, over ice cream or added to drinks such as Lavender tea, lemonade or in mixed beverages containing alcohol such as a Lavender Martini, Lavender Mojito or even Lavender Champagne.
