Lavandula pinnata is called Jagged Lavender or Lace Lavender and is a Pterostachys Lavender plant. It is also known as fern leafed Lavender and is a tender perennial in zones 10-11. The height is around 2 feet with purple blue blooms and gray green finely toothed lacy foliage. The lovely ferny Lavender leaves really compliment the flowers.
Lavandula pinnata flowers sit atop long 2-3 foot stems and are strikingly beautiful "winged spikes" and are divided in three parts like a fork. This Lavender blooms from the spring through fall until frost. In non-hardy zones you may grow it in a pot but make sure to place it in a sunny location. See Lavandula pinnata images below.
